The head of the largest cinema chain in Azerbaijan “CineMastercard” Zaur Darabzadeh, with the support of the Film Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, took part in one of the brightest events of the 79th Cannes Film Festival - a special anniversary screening of the cult film The Fast and the Furious, organized within the framework of the Cannes Classics program in honor of the 25th anniversary of the legendary franchise.

On the red carpet of Palais des Festivals, a “CineMastercard” representative became one of the guests of one of the most prestigious world film events, representing Azerbaijan and the domestic film industry.

The screening of the original film of the year 2001 by Universal Pictures took place in the famous Grand Théâtre Lumière and became one of the most discussed midnight premieres of the festival. The stars of the franchise - Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, producer Neil Moritz, as well as Meadow Walker, the daughter of the late Paul Walker were attended the event.

The emotional tribute of Vin Diesel, dedicated to Paul Walker, attracted special attention of the world press. The appearance of Meadow Walker was one of the most touching and sensitive moments of the evening.

The anniversary screening was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the film, which marked the beginning of one of the most successful franchises in the history of the world cinema. Over the years of its existence, the Fast & Furious series collected more than $7 billion at the global box office and became a global cultural phenomenon.
