For the first time in 35 years, musicians set out from the entrance of the Zangezur Corridor toward ancient Ordubad. In neighborhoods that have become part of the region's historical heritage, *Ordubad bayatis* (traditional folk poems) are performed to the accompaniment of authentic music for the first time. Customs and traditions—spanning from the city center to the most remote villages, previously unspoken of and unique to this area—are being brought to life. The musicians' primary mission is to reveal the rhythms of Ordubad—rhythms that have endured for millennia yet remained hidden until now. The people of Ordubad, their traditions, artifacts, and even the fruit grown there are gradually becoming integral parts of these rhythms. The connection between walnut trees and the doorways of ancient Ordubad homes, the reason ancient local mosques were built without minarets, the secrets of the ice-cold springs, and much more are being explained in detail for the first time. Questions that have long defined Ordubad—such as "Why has this place been called the 'Abode of Paradise' for centuries?" and, most importantly, "Why did National Leader Heydar Aliyev call Ordubad the 'Pearl of Azerbaijan'?"—will no longer go unanswered.
